Food Scrap Supplies and Pick-Up Services: Rockland County, NY

Guided by our mission, we’re helping to reduce food waste while promoting sustainable practices in Rockland County. Our food scrap pick services are designed to make food scrap disposal easier for local residents and businesses.

Food scraps and yard waste make up 20-30% of what we throw away. Composting reduces greenhouse gas emissions, improves soil health, and saves valuable resources like energy. Composting is also an easy way to turn waste into a valuable resource that can be used to enrich soil, grow food, and #supportlocal agriculture.

Whether you’re required to comply with N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law §§ 27-2201 – 27-2219. or simply can’t make it to Orangetown’s Food Scrap Drop-off Site during open hours, we’ll pick up your food scraps and transport them for you.

We also supply starter kits and replacement compostable brown bags after each delivery.

Choose between daily, weekly and monthly pickups, then schedule your first pickup date. We’ll arrive within your 30-minute window, collect your full brown bags or bins, and leave replacements. If you’re new to composting and need supplies, select what you need at checkout.

Food scraps are transferred to Rockland Green’s Co-Composting facility in Hillburn, NY, where they are composted into nutrient rich compost.

Daily pickups can be scheduled on any day except Sundays. Please allow 24-48 business hours for the delivery of your white or green compost bin.
