The Creekside Cottage is a sustainably maintained, rustic 1950s cottage in New York’s Hudson Valley. A serene getaway less than an hour from New York City, it’s also just as close to many New Jersey attractions.

Timeless, quaint, and surrounded by nature, The Creekside Cottage is perfect for an extended romantic getaway, NY-style family vacation, or a mindful retreat from city life.

A Timeless Cottage for the Times… To Last Lifetimes

This vintage cottage is a 1950s throwback to more traditional times. It’s charming but rustic in the most literal sense and sustainably maintained. There is no gas heating or central air. Instead, we use electric units and solar power with space heating and low-impact, window cooling units.

The furnishings and decor are locally sourced and sustainable, so most items are thrifted, made of recycled or biodegradable materials, and from local, small businesses.

The space is on a single floor so it is ideal for up to four adults and two children. The living room has a dining space in the living room for up to six people but again, it’s ideal if 2 are children.

The full kitchen and bathroom are modest and stocked with essentials. Both bedrooms are spacious but the sofa bed is small so it’s best for children. If you enjoy classic wood flooring, beautiful built-in cabinets, and handmade lace curtains, then this is the cottage for you.
